Summer 2010 Hot Color Trend : Aurora

This summer is full of happy, mood-inspiring colors (see our article Hard Times Make Happy Colors). With its light-hearted and energetic undertones, “Aurora” yellow is this season's hottest color trend.

The Pantone Fashion Color Report, as listed on www.fashiontrendsetter.com, declares “Aurora” one of the highlights for Summer 2010 in fashion and décor alike. The writers proclaim that “(Aurora is) reminiscent of the first glimpse of yellow as the sun begins to rise over the horizon, this shimmering, slightly greenish yellow adds a bold infusion.”

Bold infusions are exactly what designers Thuy Diep, Reem Acra, Yigal Azrouël, and Adam Lippes desired for their Spring/Summer 2010 fashion lines. Nina Garcia, Fashion Director of Marie Claire and Project Runway Judge, says “There’s nothings like a...golden yellow to make us feel optimistic and hopeful for the future.” Even the First Lady is communicating optimism
with an onslaught of “Aurora” hued outfits including her inauguration dress.



This summer, the color “Aurora” is going to infuse our wardrobes and living spaces with energy, inspiration, and hope.
